Our Story...

A small group of Grants Pass residents, seeking more of God, started a Sunday school in a private home. That was approximately 1921. Eighty
years later that group has grown into the thriving and vibrant
fellowship known as Parkway Christian Center.

The first property owned by the church was at the corner of eighth and
'E' Streets. The church building located on this property was remodeled
and expanded to accommodate growth until it was determined that a new
location was needed. At that time the church looked to the eastern gate
of the city and purchased the property the congregation presently
occupies.

Ground was broken in February of 1977, and a year later the
congregation moved into the new facility. This new facility (completed
in March of 1978) consisted of a Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, Children
and Educational wings. Recently, in 1999, Parkway Christian Center
added the Hull Center, a facility dedicated to youth ministry which
contains a gym, fitness center, full service kitchen, and offices for
our Youth Department.
