Pastor Ron Marsh, Pastoral Care & Seniors Pastor
What I do:
My responsibilities at Parkway include over 50 adults with no children in the home, senior saints and Pastoral Care for the congregation at Parkway. Pastoral Care includes Benevolence Assistance, hospital visitation and follow up on seniors who may be in need. We also provide monthly events for Life After Fifty (our 50+ congregation) and a weekly church service focused for our retired congregation, called Traditions. We meet weekly in the fellowship hall at 10:00 AM on Thursdays. Traditional choir songs, prayer and teaching the word.
Parkway is our church home, my wife Gayle and I were saved at Parkway in 1982 under the leadership of Vic Trimmer. Dennis Webber was the Pastor of Youth ministry and was Pastor for our children. I felt the call to ministry and went to Bible College in 1985. After college Dennis and Jeanette offered us a staff position in Salem Oregon. In 2001 they asked us to return as staff to Grants Pass and serve with them in our home church. What a blessing to serve the Lord here with life long friends. Grants Pass is our home and we like fishing, the outdoors, good friends and doing life at Parkway and in our home town.
If you could have a meal with anyone (dead or alive other than Jesus) who would it be and why?
Whoever wrote the book of Hebrews...I have a lot of questions!!!
